Jim brings a diverse set of skills and experience to the team at NewCity. From brand development for Fortune 500 companies to helping launch a startup aimed at revolutionizing the moving industry, his roles on projects can rarely be summed up in a word or two.
After exploring a number of options at Virginia Tech, Jim found a natural pairing in Marketing and History. He gravitated to questions about why people do the things they do, whether it’s about choosing products or standing up for something they believe in. The ever-changing nature of interactions between audiences and brands means that he’s never solving the same problem in the same way twice.
A copywriter by trade, Jim has extensive experience leading creative teams to produce breakthrough work across a range of industries, from autonomous vehicle technologies to consumer athletics equipment to healthcare and more.
Beyond spending time with his wife and daughter, his creative efforts range from photography to making music (when he bought a new house, a music studio was a requirement) to building custom furniture in his woodworking shop.
