As a senior UX strategist at NewCity, Jack mixes the best of his past professional lives to create better tech experiences for the world. He’s a unique blend of copywriter, brand strategist, researcher, tech guru, and process tinkerer.
Jack’s superpower is relentlessly digging to find a true understanding of the biggest challenge or opportunity buried in a project. Then defining, sharing, and using it to inform ever better solutions.
Jack was formerly an Orientation Student Leader (OSL) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for freshmen and transfer students. Plus, he was a teaching assistant for advertising classes while in grad school at UIUC.
When not crafting better user experiences, Jack is likely walking and playing with the family’s goldendoodle, Otto. Jack is also constantly on the hunt for new rental properties to flip with his wife of 25 years, Rebecca. Or daydreaming of his next chance to take a Hobie Cat sailing across the warm, clear Caribbean waters.
Jack’s favorite part of the job is “the energy and optimism of the higher education universe. It’s invigorating and inspires me to continue learning new things every day.”
