Sara Andrew, Senior Designer

Mother of 2 cats and 1 horse. Love the mountains. Hate the heat. Video gamer, reader, photographer, people watcher. I like my drinks brown: coffee or beer, please. Have my dad’s weird sense of humor. Blunt like a brick wall.

Sara's job application said her mission was to "find a group of like minded individuals who share my goals as a designer, and then I will beg for a job." No begging was required. We hired her as soon as we had the chance. A BFA graduate of University of North Texas, Sara wowed us with an impressive portfolio, a promising start in graphic design and a sly wit that keeps us on our toes. At UNT, she earned the Outstanding Student in Communication Design award in 2000.

Sara aims to avoid the predictable and expected in her design - and in her life, too. We wondered if she would wear lots of cowboy boots and hats in homage to her home state, but it turns out she is more into Japanese animation and martial arts than spurs. On her lifetime "to-do" list: junketing to Africa and transforming her current image into a hard-core Harley girl. At least the Harley thing has a feisty taste of Texas in it.
