Jeannine Everhart, Director of Operations
Loves animals, especially Friesian horses and border collies. Crazy about the Blue Ridge mountains.
Jeannine does a variety of tasks around the office - oversees office operations, manages projects, performs database programming, takes out the recyclables. She's been in the business world of IT since - well, a long time - and has seen quite a lot over the years. Jeannine arrived at NewCity with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech, an M.S. in Systems Engineering from VT, and an MBA from the University of Maryland concentrating in Information Systems and Finance. Jeannine joined NewCity in 2003, working primarily on software management and development. Jeannine began managing the day to day operations of the company in early 2008. When Jeannine isn't on her day job at NewCity, she is probably working on her family horse breeding business where she raises Friesian (from the Netherlands) horses. This hobby combines her love of animals and horses with her love of Europe. Over the years Jeannine has worked and traveled abroad, managing various software projects, from small deployments to multi-million dollar behemoths. She still manages projects but most of her travel now is when she heads to the Netherlands on her vacation time to check out the latest horse news.
Ask her about web development and CMS (Content Management Systems), if you wish. But please, don't ask her about the Fries paarden (that's Dutch for "Friesian horses") - she'll talk about breeding/raising them until you beg for mercy.
