The Bryn Mawr School

Bryn Mawr is one of the best girls schools in the United States (we are convinced). We worked with the Bryn
Mawr School in 2005-06 to revitalize their overall brand. We interviewed constituents to discover the essence of the Bryn Mawr experience, and the values and themes that resonate across Bryn Mawr’s audiences. From this we developed a tag-line “Great Minds. Strong Hearts. Bold Voices.”

We carried this forward in a complete campaign including web site, stationery and admissions print material. Bryn Mawr’s new web site includes an interactive “Experience Bryn Mawr” area where visitors can hear about Bryn Mawr directly from the girls. The interactions combine a bold “I statement” with a set of photos and a story. Drawn from our interviews, the “I statements” put the individual student’s experience at the forefront of the campaign while showcasing the impact of the school community.

As we were developing the new brand campaign, we were approached by the Alumni & Development Office to design a new development campaign to work hand-in-hand with the new brand. Our approach was to go beyond just asking for a contribution to a single campaign, but to promote a sense of lasting connection to the school. Our campaign brand was encompassed in the tag-line “Bryn Mawr. Always.” The campaign has been tremendously successful. Just look for the “Bryn Mawr. Always” bumper stickers in Baltimore!
