// Launch SiteNorthwestern Health Sciences University is the best school in the United States if you want to become a health care professional in chiropractic, oriental medicine, and massage therapy. We began work with them in 2009 on a comprehensive overhaul of the university's brand strategy and communications, through the web, print, and other media. Like so many institutions we work with, they had a great story to tell, but it was lost in a sea of sameness.
When we dug in, we found that they brought a level of hands-on clinical experience that no other school could beat. We're talking about significantly more hours, working with real patients in real clinical settings, learning to be a true care giver. Students learn from mentors who are bringing them into their own professions as colleagues.
This experience is built on a foundation of rigorous science education. NWHSU is rightfully proud of its emphasis on evidence-informed care. They have long been a leader in funded research for natural health care, applying what they discover to inform both their curriculum and the current practice of health care.
NWHSU doesn't live in a natural health care bubble either. They take full advantage of their location in the Twin Cities to work alongside other health care disciplines. They have clinics in area hospitals and operate community clinics in collaboration with the University of Minnesota and other institutions.
We led NWHSU through a process that included:
- Audience research with prospective students in each program, current students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other health professionals
- Interviews with current and prospective audiences and internal stakeholders to develop key brand messages
- Development of comprehensive brand strategy, messaging platforms, and a style guide for copy
- Design of new logo and visual identity
- Design of admissions print campaign materials and standards for print collateral
- User experience architecture for the website and each academic program
- Content strategy and implementation for the website
- Website design and template architecture
- On-campus workshops to teach best practices for content and user experience as various departments work on their sites
- CMS implementation in collaboration with TERMINALFOUR
- Design and development of innovative virtual tour
- Development of broad range of new video for the university in collaboration with Red Velocity
We continue to serve NWHSU on a regular basis as an extension of their communications office.
