International Reporting Project

The International Reporting Project provides U.S. journalists with fellowship opportunities to cover critical issues in under-reported regions of the world. From the outset, they knew that they needed a site that would shine a brighter light on the fellows’ stories, give more attention to their Gatekeeper (editor) trips and allow for multimedia content and stories.

Ultimately, we delivered that much and more, including a new logo and visual identity. The site revolves around simplified navigation that pushes the stories and the journalists to the forefront. We also added an interactive map-based story browser and enabled stories to be interlinked with related topics. Our goal was keep readers from ever reaching a stopping point because that’s the thing about international news – there’s always more to learn.
