NewCity worked with CSU East Bay in redesigning its web site at a critical juncture in the school’s history. The University underwent an accreditation process in 2002 through 2007 and had recently begun to admit students to their new residential campuses. The website played a critical role in helping develop the vision of the CSU East Bay experience.
Specifically, we created more intuitive navigation, custom web hex color equivalents to their official color palette, and a welcoming environment for people with disabilities by ensuring the site met all Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.

NewCity has been selected to develop new information architecture and redesign the web site for California State University East Bay, located just south of Oakland in Hayward, California. Our friend Indi Young recommended us to CSUEB after she had done some initial research and architectural work for them focusing on prospective students.
Jeannine Everhart and David Poteet will lead the project, which kicks off in mid-April. We'll develop a set of mental models for each of their key audiences.…
