NewCity recently hired John Williams as a web developer. John worked for AARP in Northern Virginia where he did HTML production, web application development and multimedia development. John is an alumni of Virginia Tech and luckily for NewCity, wanted to get back to the NRV area. John has been doing HTML and web development professionally since 1996. Although he is well versed in web development, he has a degree in English from Virginia Tech, and has worked for a number of publications, government agencies, and associations in the DC area including FEMA, The Discovery Channel (Discovery Health), the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the Library of Congress.
John has already "wowed us" with his ability to problem-solve, his accessibility expertise and deep commitment to user experience. John is very excited about his first two games, which we just released for Tweetsie Railroad – "Be the Locomotive Engineer" at www.tweetsie.com/kids_zone/engineer.html and the "Connect the Tracks" game at www.tweetsie.com/kids_zone/tracks.
John is married, has two cats and expects his first child, a son, next week! He has a lot going on, but if you are ever in the mood for an extraordinarily bad movie that nobody has ever heard of, John will invite you over for a fun-filled evening.

This is the kind of news that leaves us teachers glowing. John was a student in my AP English Literature and Composition class “several” years ago in Bristol, Virginia. I always knew he would go far, but he has exceeded all my expectations. I couldn’t be prouder of him. Having taught him and his younger brother Glen (another high achiever and all-around creative person) is one of the great joys of my rather long career. Best wishes to John and his very special family.
