Chalk up day one yesterday to being our road test.

Maybe it was spending the night in a city nicknamed The Big Easy (the tagline of the French Quarter RV park is "You're BIG, we're EASY." I love it.), or maybe we learned from our experience yesterday; either way, today's going very well. Ustream has been more agreeable. Pictures are going where they're supposed to. We're getting videos up. We're actually making good time getting down the road. All's well.

Road trip schedules aren’t easy to follow

Our plan all along was to leave eeeeeaaaarrrrrly this morning, grab the RV in Knoxville and then head out. Coffee/lunch in Chattanooga, coffee again in Birmingham and a fun night in New Orleans. Mmmhm.

Yesterday, we found out we couldn't get the RV until 11 at the earliest, which threw the schedule off completely. Oh well. We go to the Rent A Wreck dealer (not kidding) just after 11 this morning and didn't hit the road again until 1. When we did, Brian and I both plugged in our laptops to start…

Countdown to ROAD TRIP!

This is the marketing version of what our RV should look like.

This is the marketing version of what our RV should look like.

You know that feeling you get the day before a big vacation when it just seems like there's way too much to get done? Yeah. That's kinda where we are today. Every time we start on something, we think of something else that needs to get done. I think we're all looking forward to the moment we sit down in the RV and know that we've done all the prep work we can do. From there, it'll just be driving, meeting people, learning great…

Experience Design? What’s that?

Experience Design: It's not what you say. It's how you think.

As many ad agencies around the country experience budget-driven difficulties, we are fortunate to be working with some incredible clients on some very exciting projects. Sure, we're not a traditional ad agency in any sense, in fact, we're almost positive that's why we're doing well right now.

Our capabilities extend beyond much of what the agencies of today (or yesterday, depending on how you look at it) offer. What makes us…

Writing vs Content Managing

This person is writing.

This person is writing.

The design of your website communicates the visual aspects of your brand. The writing (notice I didn't say content) establishes the tone and voice. They are both equally important, but for some reason, they don't always receive equal weight in the development process. All too often, home page real estate is reserved with a box that says, "copy goes here" until the 11th hour.

In addition to writing, I've been studying a good bit of SEO strategy for the last month or so.…

Would all the righties please excuse us lefties while we talk?

Can you tell from the inside which hand is more creative?

Can you tell from the inside which hand is more creative?

There are many myths surrounding the explanation of why creativity blossoms in some of us and not others. One of the oldest is that left-handed people are naturally more creative than righties due to us lefties being right-brained.

I have first-hand knowledge (so to speak) of many righties I greatly respect who are among the most creative folks I've ever known. So, to me, there's no way to tell if someone is more creative than another by…
