The house that NewCity built. (…well kinda.)
NewCity employees took a day off to work on a project house with Habitat for Humanity. We unshackled ourselves from our desk jobs and decided to do some heavy lifting for charity. We divided into teams to handle such tasks as shingling a roof, cleaning up a job site, installing windows, framing, sheathing, pouring foundations, and we are happy to say we escaped with only minor injury to ourselves and others. NewCity work cited in Graphis Design Journal
NewCity will have its work cited in the forthcoming Graphis Design Journal: Americas, a focused sampling of the best design in America, organized regionally. National Geographic Magazine's WildCam Africa continues to garner such accolades and has been very well received by the publisher's readers. This project will mark NewCity's first project in Graphis.
NewCity will also be showcased in the Graphis Designers USA 2 annual coming out in December 2007.
IKEA Kitchens
If I had to pick the two most excruciating experiences I have had online, they would be hands down: poor use of music on websites and trying to do anything on IKEA's site.
While they haven't fixed the usability of their main site yet – they did do a interactive presentation that promotes their kitchen products in one of the most elegant and inviting pieces I have seen in a while.

Target audience?
Here is a very well put together article on DVD cover design. I don't often site articles on design, but this one hits home both as a my being a dad and a designer who takes pride in the impact factor of a design. Good read.

Results that speak.
We picked the hottest week in August to shoot photos in Arkansas for our website. That alone should have slowed the brain of our director from New City. But no. Good thinking, patient guidance, and persistence resulted in compelling photos to pull eyeballs to our rail safety message.
